THE PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION OF BEAVER ISLAND (PABI)
A non-profit organization working to preserve the historical landmarks, architectural character, natural environment, and cultural traditions that distinguish Beaver Island from the mainland-retaining the unique community qualities and values for those making the Island home for all or part of the year. The Preservation Association re-created the old Dockside market as a Beaver Island Community Center-bringing Island residents and visitors together to appreciate and preserve the Island's cultural traditions and values. The Preservation Association maintains its offices there, as does the Chamber of Commerce, and invites all residents and visitors to stop-by, get acquainted, and enjoy the special areas for youth, seniors, visitors and the performing arts.
