THE TOY STORE MUSEUM
For almost fifty years,  artist Maryrose Scholl has been in business in Chicago, and more recently on Beaver Island for decades.  A fine collection of antique toys adorns the walls, ceilings, shelves and floors even.  Nestled in a lovely garden of flowers and trees along the harbor’s shoreline street, the Beaver Island Toy Museum is a well-loved island destination, open Memorial Weekend through Labor Day. Children visit with a fistful of crumpled dollars and coins, and they leave with a bag full of trinkets, joy, and memories! Come see a mind-boggling selection of new and vintage toys, bumper stickers, postcards, Michigan themed books, and art & jewelry made by store owner Mary Rose. Mary’s paintings, drawings, collages, and photographs fill a small gallery behind the store, with new work every season. You’ll also find wonderful photography by her son, Jason Lome, and her sister, Lindy Johnson. There’s art for every budget, so don’t miss this stop on your island vacation! 37970 Michigan Ave, Beaver Island, MI 49782 (231) 448-2480 View Web Site
